Retnodi, mengirimkan informasi bahwa definisi dari “progressive rock” dapat menggunakan definisi dari Matthew A Rink, "What Is Progressive Music" yang ada di situs http://www.prog.web.com. Daripada mendefinisikan kata “progressive”, Matthew lebih suka menjabarkan ciri-ciri progressive rock, yaitu
1. Longer songs
2. Time changes
3. More complex instrumentation / superior vocals
4. More complex conceptual ideas / hieghtened lyrical content

Ada makna lain dari “classic” dalam classic rock, yaitu bermakna bagus, elegant, terkenal sebagaimana dalam kata “it's a classic.” Akibatnya ada banyak lagu yang berwarna rock tetapi disebut classic rock karena memang lagu tersebut adalah lagu klasik yang harus dikenal oleh semua pencinta musik rock.

gw ga ada aliran tetep, kek air sungai mengalir kemana aja! gw suka semua jenis musik kok. About Guns n Roses gw juga suka, apalagi album pertamanya Apetite for Destruction yah klo ga salah.
Di Palembang rock competition Log Zhalebor udah diselenggarain, band temen gw yang jadi wakil Sumbagsel sama band dari Jambi. Hanya 2 band yang bakal ke Bandung yah klo ga salah!
semoga band lu menang dan dapat kontrak ama Log

Sebenernya klo masalah definisi genre itu tergantung apa dan gmn dia ekspresikan genre itu sendiri...

tanpa harus terpatok oleh batasan2 tertentu

toh gw bawain genre progresif rock gw punya pandangan berbeda ma mathew (gitarisnya MUSE) ya wajar punya pandangan berbeda
